Born in 1964, Tammy was born, raised, and currently resides among the wheat fields of southcentral Kansas. Her story is relatable to many. She grew up in the late Baby Boomer and early Generation X time periods with a black and white television, family dinners around the table, and no such thing as cell phones or social media.

With a BBA in accounting from Wichita State University and a CPA certificate, numbers are Tammy’s history. 30 years later her accounting life ended with the desire to journey down a different career path. The compass turned toward words to create a new legacy beyond spreadsheets.

Tammy is a member of Kansas Authors Club. Her work can be found on NABBW.com, Medium.com, BizCatalyst360.com, WebMD, and in The Daily Gift Book Series.

The idea of writing a memoir emerged during the pandemic that began gripping the world in 2020. Call it a mid-life crisis or simply the desire to thwart boredom and keep an aging brain sharp. Either way, the journey has become the unexpected dissection of causality and relevance of an ordinary, everyday life.
